We are a New Zealand membrane roofing and waterproofing company. Flat roofs are not a sideline for us — they are the whole business.
Who We Are
Membrane Applicators is a specialist membrane roofing and waterproofing company working across Auckland and the rest of New Zealand. Our work is flat and low-slope roofs: house flat roof sections, garages, decks and balconies, box gutters and parapets, and large commercial and industrial roof areas.
Most general roofers will take on a flat roof when it comes up. We do them every day. That difference shows up in the details — the upstands, thresholds, outlets and penetrations that decide whether a flat roof stays dry, and where almost every leak we are called to originates.
Enquiries come directly to Luan Souza, so you deal with the same person from the first phone call through to handover rather than being passed between a call centre and a crew.
The Membrane Systems We Install
We are not tied to a single product. Installing four different systems means the recommendation you get is based on your roof rather than on the only material we know how to lay.
How We Work
- We inspect the roof before quoting, rather than pricing from a photo or a phone call
- The scope goes in writing so you can see exactly what is included
- Substrates are prepared properly instead of covered over
- Every lap is welded and checked, not just rolled down
- Upstands, outlets and penetrations are detailed as carefully as the open field
- If a repair is the better answer than a replacement, we say so
Safety and Site Conduct
Roof work carries real risk, and on commercial sites it also has to fit around other people going about their day. Access, edge protection and safe working arrangements are agreed with you before we start rather than improvised once we are up there.
On occupied buildings we plan the sequence so the roof is watertight at the end of each working day, and we favour hot-air welded systems over open-flame installation wherever the roof allows it.
We clean down at the end of a job and take our waste with us. It sounds like a small thing until someone leaves offcuts in your gutter.
